Where I slept for three and a half years. Once a week. Sometimes twice. Four years enrolled in ArtCenter’s Creative Direction program, I was a commuter student. I lived 70 miles away from campus in Riverside County. Morning traffic was a near 3 hour commute. I settled for sleeping on campus on days ending at 10pm followed by morning courses. Thankfully there were showers on campus.

Stuff About Jovan Ferrusca

Stuff About Jovan Ferrusca

2 plus 2 equals 4, BUT a really good idea can possess you to believe 2 plus 2 equals 5. A skateboard is just a plank bolted on four wheels yet it possessed me to jump off and over things. It takes a smart yet simple idea to make you do stupid little things like jump off a stage on to a mosh pit during a Hardcore Punk Show,  (which I was also possessed to do). I want my ideas to do more than inspire. I want my ideas to possess people to go out of their comfort zone. Possess them to do 5am runs. Possess them to Volunteer. Possess them to actually care about something. As an Art Director I just want to create ideas that will possess the masses.

I like Music. A lot.

Power Trip - Nightmare logic

By far my favorite track from my favorite Crossover Thrash band. Riley Gale ( Rest in Power) screams metals most aggressive lyrics to ever been growled, “STAND ON YOUR NECK TO SILENCE YOUR LIFE”.

QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf

This is THE favorite band of my favorite bands. A legendary line up of the IE’s own Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri blending with Seattle Grunge Godfather Dave Ghroul. A concept album about commuting from LA to the IE which I had to do attending ArtCenter. From Wildomar to Los Angeles. I’ve done that drive max four times a week and yes this album does exactly sounds how it feels to drive through my janky hometown.

Townes Van Zandt - Self Titled

But you Jovan you said you only liked Punk/Metal. Outlaw Country is PUNK AS F@8K. Discovered Mr. Zandt through Andrew Allen’s skate part on Hockey - “Andrew Allen”. Love the simplicity behind the album. Just the voice of a strong guitar and a healing man. Also Townes Van Zandt looks like Gary Goldsmith which I think is funny.
